Beach of Bredene

Camping Duinezwin is located in Bredene, just a few minutes' walk from the beach and in the middle of one of the most beautiful regions of the Belgian coast. Via a safe pedestrian bridge over the tram tracks and the Koninklijke Baan, you can reach the dunes and the sea in five to ten minutes.

The red pedestrian bridge next to Staf Versluys takes you to the dunes. The blue pedestrian bridge near tram stop Bredene Campings provides direct access to the beach.

Whether you choose a relaxing beach day in Bredene or another seaside resort, a bike ride along the coast or a trip to Oostende or Bruges, everything is within easy reach. Thanks to our central and quiet location, you can enjoy the sea, nature, and amenities without crowds.

Dogs on the beach in Bredene

The general rule is that dogs are allowed on the beach and in the dunes. However, from July 1 to August 31, dogs are not welcome on the beach and in the dunes (except for the paved paths), each time from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm. An exception is made for the beach zone beyond the concession zone Twins to the border with Oostende and a section at beach post 6.

Dog owners can only take their four-legged friend to the beach in this zone, provided, of course, that they are kept on a leash. Outside these periods, you can always go with your dog in Bredene, provided they are kept on a leash. However, dogs are allowed to run freely (without a leash) on the beach and in the beach water from October 15 to March 15, except for the surf zone of the Twins.

Beach posts and rescue service

In Bredene, swimming in the sea is allowed during the supervised periods. Swimming outside the supervised periods remains prohibited. All information about the different beach posts can be found here: Rescue service and Beach posts Bredene.
